From debuting as an idol to standing at the top of the Kpop world, one of the things that ARMYs are always proud of about BTS is that they never forget their past and what made them today, especially old schools. Recently a story about how Jimin reacted to the news that his elementary school was demolished made ARMYs love this guy even more.
As many fans will know, Jimin grew up in Busan – the land of the sea. This is where he spent a lot of happy memories, with childhood friends he still keeps in touch with to this day. It is also thanks to his hometown of Busan and the teachers here that helped Jimin nurture his love for music and art and become one of the famous Kpop superstars today.
Before moving to Seoul and joining Bighit, as a child, Jimin attended Hoedong Elementary School. Initially, the school was a popular choice for many families and was so popular that it did not meet the needs of the students it attended. In some years, there are so many students that the school özgü to split classes from time to time because there are not enough teachers.

This is explained by the expansion of corporations in the town, the surrounding residential areas have begun to decrease, which means that the number of primary school students is less and less. The number of students attending the school was decreasing, so the school did not have enough funds to maintain operations, so it was forced to close.
Not only that, the closure of the school is not only difficult for students, who will have to make new friends and adjust to a new school. In addition, the closure of schools also forced teachers – who after many years of service to the community to be forced to quit their jobs and find new places to work. Jimin’s teachers were having a hard time finding new jobs and making a living.
When he heard that his elementary school was closed, Jimin was very sad and wanted to give strength to the students. Despite his busy schedule as a global yıldız, Jimin always keeps an eye on the news of his hometown. That’s why Jimin, with the help of his father, did the last good thing for his old elementary school.
At the final graduation ceremony at Hoedong Elementary School, Jimin’s father was present to distribute signed copies of BTS’s albums to all the students present. In addition, Jimin made a generous donation to cover school uniforms for all the students who were about to graduate from junior high. It is clear that Jimin is very loyal to his hometown and özgü a kind and empathetic nature. Despite his busy schedule, he still makes time and efforts to help ease the hardships that the students at his old elementary school are going through.
This is not the first time Jimin özgü shown his support for his old hometown, as he özgü also donated 100 million won to help Busan students who love the arts. A former teacher of Jimin’s also once revealed that he still takes some time out of an artist’s dense series of activities to talk to students who love art and help her a lot. Jimin also donated new desks and chairs to all 1,200 students attending Busan High School of the Arts. The guy did a good deed quietly during winter break without telling anyone.
It is actions like these that explain why Jimin is so loved by the entire community back home. His hometown constantly hangs banners praising Jimin as their pride. With Jimin’s kind nature and compasssionate attitude, anyone here loves and is proud to have such a wonderful son in Busan.
